Stanmore Coal Limited

Stanmore Coal Limited is a coal exploration company listed on the ASX with a diverse asset base in the Surat and Bowen Basins. Stanmore Coal is initially focused on open pit thermal, coking coal and pulverised coal injection (PCI) deposits with relatively short development time frames.

In May and October 2009, Bizzell Capital Partners successfully completed seed capital raisings for Stanmore Coal. The seed capital raisings were followed by a $6 million IPO in December 2009 which was jointly underwritten by Bizzell Capital Partners.  

The Stanmore Coal IPO was the best performing IPO on the ASX in 2009 by percentage share price increase.
